Mike has been leading a men’s neighborhood Bible study for many years. In June 2022 we started a church with the family’s of these neighbors that meets in our home once a month. We have been studying the Book of Acts together because it is a record of how the Church started. We take turns each month leading the time together. It has been a very enriching time.
Because we are all neighbors we have a clear purpose of wanting to reach those who live around us. We pray for our fellow neighbors and find ways to care for them. It may be helping with housework or taking meals. We want to build community and bring Christ into their lives as we interact with them.
This weekend (Dec 3) we are hosting a Christmas dinner with 30 of our neighbors. We will share about the true meaning of Christmas and invite them to come to our monthly neighborhood church or the biweekly men’s study. If we have enough new people join us then we will split into multiple homes – just like the early church.
