The JESUS film, based on the Gospel of Luke. Preceded by five years of research, it is the most accurate film about the life of Christ ever produced. The film has reached every country in the world in over 1,300 languages. The JESUS Film Project has helped billions to hear the message of Christ in their own language. One missions expert reported that JESUS film showings played a part in planting over 750,000 churches.
Over seven billion people inhabit the world today. Of those, only two billion claim to have some form of relationship with Jesus, while the remaining five billion do not. We have a biblical mandate to help mobilize the two billion Christians to engage the five billion people with the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; John 3:16).
By working together with churches and mission agencies, GCM seeks to be a catalyst for establishing an additional five million healthy, missional, multiplying and sustainable churches and faith communities by the end of the year 2020. The specific goals include:
- A church or faith community for every 1,000 people – one for every neighborhood, village, high-rise apartment and digital community
- At least one certified Church Planting Movement (CPM) leader for every church or faith community
Mike and Amy live in Orlando, Florida where they work at the World Headquarters of Cru. They have four daughters: Rachel, Jessica, Monica, and Audrey.
