One of the things I (Amy) love about working at CRU is the emphasis on prayer. We pray by teams, by departments and by ministries. And twice a year our entire global staff team prays for a whole day. April 28 was our Day of Prayer and we got to hear from staff around the world and pray for their needs. Here is one story that really moved me.
Jose reported on what’s happening in Nepal since the earthquake there. Over 100 staff live in the region and all are ok though most are living in tents with their extended families and friends. Our leadership wanted to move the women and children to a safer place but were told that they didn’t want to go because of the amazing opportunities the staff were having to share their faith using the Jesus Film and portable players in the tents! Pray for continued opportunities for the believers living in areas of crisis all over the world.
Speaking of prayer….CRU is launching a worldwide prayer initiative that will be 2020 days of prayer! This will start June 20, 2015 and run until the end of the year 2020. We will pray daily at 20:20 (8:20pm) for our 2020 goal. The 2020 goal is asking the Lord to raise up 10 million Christ-centered multiplying disciples.
