Family on Mission

This summer will be especially busy as the members of our family prepare for various mission opportunities.

I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in the truth. – 3 John 1:4

Here is a brief summary of what we will all be doing:

Mike and Amy: We are helping to lead a project of 10 college students in Boulder, CO in June and July. The students are computer programmers and graphic designers who will be transforming some of our college materials into a format that will work in a mobile app called Gloo. The company is run by a missions-minded believer and we will be working out of their office. Our role will be to disciple the students and help with outreaches on the weekends. Thanks for those who gave us leads on housing. We worked out to stay with a missionary widow. After the project we will attend our National Staff Conference in Fort Collins, CO.

audreyAudrey: She will be in Boulder, CO with us. There is an office for our Campus Ministry that wants her to help write some High School content for next fall. She will also get to have a part in some of the project activities.

monicaMonica: In June and July she will be going to a student leader training camp in Gatlinburg, TN with a college ministry called The Navigators. She will be going through an intensive discipleship program in preparation for leading Bible studies with students at University of Florida, where she will be a Sophomore next year.

jessJessica: She will be going to China in July to help lead an English (ESL) camp. She is studying Teaching English as a Second Language at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and will be going to China with the Asian-American church she attends. She will be a Junior next year.

Rachel: She is already in Colorado Springs, CO attending training for new staff with The Navigators. She will be going for 2 years to the Pacific Islands in the Fall. She graduated from UF in 2014 and has been working in Gainesville, FL this past year.
