God is opening extraordinary new doors for the gospel right here at home, and we are thrilled to share a deeply encouraging update regarding the recent translation and premiere of the JESUS film in Pennsylvania Dutch.
Many Pennsylvania Dutch speakers live in close-knit communities where generations of tradition and cultural expectations can make it difficult to personally encounter the Gospel of grace. The Pennsylvania Dutch JESUS Film opens a brand-new door, bringing the life and message of Jesus directly to people in their very own heart language.
We received such encouraging reports from the team on the ground during the premiere, where God blessed the event with an incredible turnout of more than 110 people, including many from Amish backgrounds.
They shared how profoundly moving it was to see the impact on attendees as they heard Jesus speak in their heart language. One attendee from an Amish background was so deeply moved by the film that he declared, “This is the real thing!”—and he is eager to show it throughout the Amish community. In a culture where sharing new media can be delicate, having a local believer eager to carry the story of Jesus directly to his neighbors and friends is a major breakthrough for the Gospel.
It is such an encouraging beginning as this tool brings the message of Christ to people in a language and cultural context they deeply understand. We are so grateful for your faithful partnership, your prayers, and your constant encouragement that make milestones like this possible. Thank you for standing with us as we work together to help everyone, everywhere hear the good news!
