Partnership in the Amazon

The Yanomami are the largest relatively isolated people group in South America. They live in the rainforests and mountains of northern Brazil and southern Venezuela. Last month representatives from 12 tribes came together to learn how to take the Jesus film back to their villages.

This all started from a desire of a missionary couple a number of years ago to reach out unreached people. They met a tribal chief who asked for God’s word in his language. Soon after the chief became deathly ill. As a result of him experiencing healing through prayer in Jesus name, word spread throughout the jungles of the power of Jesus.
