Catcher of Men

catcher[Jesus] said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at your word, I will lower the nets.”  When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear. So they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they were about to sink.”Luke 5:4-7

What an amazing catch of fish! But have you ever wondered: What if they’d had stronger nets? What if they’d had more boats? Can you imagine how many fish they might have caught? How much more of God’s blessings might they have been able to receive?

This is part of what Amy and I do in resourcing our ministries around the world. We make stronger nets and build more boats. In other words, we help build capacity. Why? Because God is always at work, and we want to be prepared to receive all His blessings. So we create better support systems and technical platforms and media tools and a host of other often unseen things. Because when we do, our national staff and partners are able to continue with the mission of making disciples of all nations, unhindered. We are part of helping accelerate the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

And so are you. Thank you for partnering with us in making stronger nets and building more boats so that everyone can hear the good news.
