Boulder Summer Mission

We had a great 5 weeks in Boulder, Colorado, helping with Cru’s Boulder Project Summer Mission! This summer mission for college students was unique in that it combined a tech project with evangelism, discipleship and training. The students “interned” with a local tech company that has produced apps for different Cru ministries. They worked in a number of ways that will benefit our ministry, and they had a blast doing it!

Evenings and weekends were busy with individual, small group and large group events, including outreaches in the community and fun social times. Mike had a big part in all aspects of the project, but his favorite was getting to disciple the students. Amy was a part of most of the group times and helped prepare project meals. She also took an Apologetics class through Cru’s in-house seminary. Audrey got to be involved in the project, although she has another year before she is a college student. She was part of the girl’s Bible study and most of the other gatherings, including the evangelistic outreaches. She’s so used to hanging out with her older sisters that she fit right in with the college students!

Thank you for your part in sending us on this trip! We really loved being in Colorado and helping with the project. We spent great time together as a family, attended different churches in the community, hiked in the mountains quite a few times and Mike even participated in 2 different local swim races at the Boulder reservoir!

From here we head to Fort Collins, CO to join 5000 U.S. staff at our national conference. We plan to be back in Orlando at the end of July.

Enjoy these pics from our time in Boulder!
